My wife Nikki and I moved to Traverse City in 2003. Both of us grew up traveling north for the weekend and like many we couldn't think of a better place to live and raise a family.

I have formally been in construction for ten years or so but have been kicking around job sites for as long as I can remember. After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in graphic design I returned to Michigan and spent some time in corporate life. The chair got the better of me and I left to pursue a career closer to my heart. Slivers, callouses and flattened fingertips replace water cooler chatter and cubicles. Here I am doing what my father did, turning lumber into homes. Nothing's better than the smell of fresh cut wood.
